Well there was probably no bigger piece of history being made last night than in the city of Philadelphia. On one side of Broad street was game three of the World Series, the first played between the Yankees and the Phillies in the city of Brotherly love in 59 years. On the other side, in between THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of polluted tailgaters was the final concert ever to be played in the Philadelphia Spectrum. With all of the rumors about who was going to show up last night from Bruce Springsteen to Elvis, and the rumors about how the band would play to three oclock in the morning, Pearl Jam had some HUGE expectations to meet. Noone showed up. The show ended around 1. Noone left unhappy. 41 songs, Four Hours. Something for everyone on the setlist. Pearl Jam coming out as DEVO and and playing WHIP IT? Priceless. Hearing Pilate and Crown of Thorns played live? Awesome. Bugs? Not so much but the crowd last night can say they were the ONLY ones to ever hear it live. Pearl Jam had to step up to the plate and they knocked it out of the park
