Shannon Hoon. Took the Andrew Wood/Bradley Knowles approach to self destructing right before they found true success. To quote another Seatlle band out of the 90's, They left us Far Behind. Blind Melon was a throwback to 60's love music, and I'm surprised they didn't have more of a following with the Phish fan base. Not that their music was so similar to Phish but their spirit was.
