102.7 JSE This Is How We Roll

You never know when we might drop me. Where the heck were these guys when I was 17 working at Taco Bell?

Alice In Chains last Friday

A few years ago I would have punched you in the face if you told me I could see Alice In Chains in concert.I punch liars, bad habbit. Except you wouldn't have been lying to me. What you're looking at when you see William Duvall on stage with Jerry Cantrell, Mike Inez, and Sean Kinney is immpossible. It's not supposed to be that good but it is. It's Alice In Chains. Angry, Dark, Kick Ass Alice In Chains. Below are a few videos from the concert if you don't believe me. I'm not lying and I hate it when people punch me

Banned In The USA

Mudvayne Banned was a top story for this week. Here it is again: Mudvayne are the latest band to drum-up publicity by producing a controversial video that was guaranteed to be banned by major video outlets. Here is the official announcement about the ban: Mudvayne continues to push the envelope with the video for their second single "Beautiful and Strange" off their self-titled album Mudvayne. "Beautiful and Strange" is directed by Frankie Nasso and is the latest installment of three conceptually linked videos that were filmed to promote the band's self-titled album. "Scream With Me", the first single off the album saw great success becoming #2 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Chart.

With the release of the video for "Beautiful and Strange" came the unwillingness of networks, and media sources to play the video due to its disturbing and thought provoking imagery that is meant for mature audiences. The video contains sexually explicit acts that take place in a graveyard and some scenes that involve acts of sadism that is part of a storyline that is linked to the other two videos. The exact definition of the video is left to interpretation and flows beautifully with the other two videos that complete the concept. It has been banned from every outlet except for one; the only place where this video can be seen is on the social networking site vampirefreaks.com.

Mudvayne has been praised for changing the landscape of metal music through their songwriting and now they continue to broaden that landscape with their provocative new video for "Beautiful and Strange". The song is extremely dynamic and is an example of the bands technical abilities as musicians. The release of the third and final video "Heard It All Before" is set to premiere next month. - http://vampirefreaks.com/playvideo/?v=125224

Man What A Crazy Three Weeks

Ok so it's been way too long since we last spoke. I've gotten a lot of questions as to why I'm not hanging out with you during the night anymore on JSE. Things back home are getting a little complicated, and I need to keep my nights open to take care of some family issues on Long Island. It sucks and I miss it but that's my problem. I'll still get you the latest, most detailed rock news I possibly can and keep Sunday nights real before you start your work week. I'll be back on nights as soon as I sort out the tragic comedy known as my life. I'll see you tonight on JSE
